Jigsee was a start-up and video delivery platform providing content based on a viewer’s interests, moods and emotions. As a co-founder and subsequent advisor, this was ahead of its time – before Netflix and other video platforms became available.
My partner and I engaged the University of Toronto to develop the algorithm which we pitched to Paramount and Fox in Los Angeles. Fox was interested in using the platform to feature The Simpsons 25th anniversary.
Ultimately, through various rounds of funding, Jigsee was then acquired by Vuclip in 2013.
